Moda Operandi's Hermès Sale Includes Ultra-Rare Himalayan Croc Birkin For $143,000
If you’ve been contemplating a handbag purchase that rivals the price of a ranch home in many parts of suburban America, then we have some timely news to share with you: Heritage Auctions has once again teamed up with Moda Operandi to offer a curated selection of rare, pre-owned Hermès handbags for sale, and this time around, one of them is a Himalayan crocodile Birkin. It will cost you $144,430 and you cannot take out a mortgage on it.
For the slightly less flush (but still very flush), the selection includes a Braise Crocodile Birkin for $70,875 and a 25cm version in black croc for $109,690. There are also regular leather Birkins and Kellys for the functionally-minded, as well as a few other bag styles and small accessories.
