Gucci Gifted Me The Perfect Summer Tote

A hefty box arrived right before we left for Europe for a month. It was marked as “from your friends at Gucci,” Let me tell you what: we should all have friends at Gucci. Many influencers often receive PR gifting packages (consider the holiday unboxings you have seen and other seasonal giftings). Gucci has been one of our longest-standing partners, and this gift was over-the-top lovely!

I shared an unboxing of this on Reels (only to realize after the fact that I left out a scarf they sent as well!), but the standout item I knew I needed to take with me on our trip was this Gucci Totissima Tote from the Gucci Lido collection.

My Tote of Summer ’24

A tote is a handbag necessity. It’s the hauler of our things and an essential pillar in anyone’s bag closet. It doesn’t need to be fancy or heavy, with the primary goal of practicality. This bag is all of that, plus it speaks to my GG-logo-loving and perfect blue hue color-obsessed heart.

The Gucci Totissima Tote in blue GG canvas is the bag I used as my carry-on for our month-long trip. I packed it perfectly with every pouch that served a specific purpose. It also comes with a detachable, tonal leather pouch, so naturally, I used that, too.

It’s light and easy as long as you are comfortable packing pouches and not having a top closure. Some totes offer zip tops, but the original tote design was intended to be open, spacious, and easy to reach in and grab what you need.

The interior has a nice touch with a Web trim that expands along the top. The double leather top handles have a 9″ drop, comfortably fitting over my shoulder. You can also easily fold the bag to save space, another plus when traveling.

The color of this bag was inspired by summer spirit and beach clubs on the Italian coast, and while I am not on the Italian coast, this bag significantly lifted my summer spirits.

A smaller size is also available, but if you want to haul more, this is the option for you. As it’s a staple in the Gucci family, there are many variations for colorways.
